Shania Berger to Compete in Junior PGA Championship
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University women’s golfer Shania Berger is mere weeks away from beginning her collegiate career, but she’s been putting in a lot of work to get ready for it and the results have been impressive.

Playing at the Los Altos Golf Course in Albuquerque, N.M., Berger carded rounds of 70 and 71 at the Sun Country Section PGA Qualifier to shoot 141 (-3) for the tournament and claim a seven-stroke victory over her closest competitor. With that win, Berger advances to play in the 39th Junior PGA Championship in Bryan, Texas at the Miramont Country Club from July 29-August 1.

This won’t be Berger’s first trip to the Junior PGA either. She’s competed in the event for each of the past two years, first at the Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana, then last year at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C.
