Crew Takes Two Golds and the Cecille Bradley Plate at the Rollins Invitational

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Men's Varsity 4+ and Men's Novice 4+ took gold, while the Women's Varsity 8+ placed second, but claimed the Cecille Bradley Plate at the Rollins Invitional, Saturday at Lake Maitland.

Bryan Brown (Ballston Lake, N.Y.), Montia Rice (Folsom, N.J), Sean Duffey (Margate, N.J.), Matthew Grothaus (West Chester, Pa.) and coxswain Peter DeFrank (Nutley, N.J.) led the Men's Varsity 4+ to victory in a time of 7:20.1, while Ian Hamlyn (Hartsville, S.C.), Robert Davis (Ponte Vedra, Fla.), Tom Wilson (Barriton, R.I.), Christian Ahlers (Lingren, Germany) and coxswain Michel Gribble (Englewood, Fla.) took gold in the Men's Novice 4+, clocking in at 7:50.8.

Lauren Calhoun (Baltimore, Md.), Hannah Bates (Lakeland, Minn.), Patti Connolly (Jacksonville/Bishop Kenney), Cynthia Schulze (Jacksonville/Nathan B. Forrest), Amanda Bustos (Dallas, Texas), Lindsey Jackson (Jacksonville/Fletcher), Kate Burke (Northfield, N.J.), Becky Watt (Ocoee, Fla.) and coxswain Evette Smith (Flourtown, Pa.) led the Women's Varsity 8+ to a time of 6:54.3 and the Cecille Bradley Plate.

The Men's Varsity 8+ finished second behind Rollins with a time of 6:02.2, while the Men's Novice 8+ came in second with a time of 6:47.9. The Women's Novice 4+ came in second with a time of 9:08.9, while the Women's Varsity 4+ came in third at 8:29.3.
