The JU rowing team took to the baseball diamond on March 21 as the Dolphins dedicated a boat in honor of JU President Kerry Romesburg and his wife Judy prior to the baseball team's game against No. 1 Florida State, in front of a program-record 3,109 fans at Alexander Brest Field.

"We are honored to name a boat after President Romesburg and his wife Judy," said JU head rowing coach Jim Mitchell. "Not only are they great supporters of our program, they are also great supporters of the athletics department and the university."

The Dolphin rowing program, which is celebrating their 50th year of competition, honored the Romesburg's for their hard work and dedication towards the construction of a new state-of-the-art Rowing Center. The facility will be completed this summer and will be a focal piece for the JU Athletic Department and the campus.

After the dedication, President Romesburg threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
