Heptathlete Andrea Pressley Finishes 13th at NCAA Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - JU junior heptathlete Andrea Pressley (Upper Marlboro, Md.) finished with 5,184 points to place 13th in the heptathlon at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium. The top-20 finishers receive automatic bids to the USA Championships.

Pressley, who was 12th after the first four events Friday, had a long jump of 5.58 meters (18-feet, 3.75-inches) and a throw of 38.30 meters (125-feet, 8-inches) in the javelin. She also clocked a time of 2:30.93 in the 800 meters.

Georgia's Hyleas Fountain captured the national championship with 5,999 points, while Washington State's Elannee Richardson finished second (5,839) and Idaho's Angela Whyte finished third (5,745).
