Men's basketball reads to Justina Elementary

Sept. 25, 2007

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU men's basketball team recently went to Justina Elementary, reading to the students in an effort to give back to the local community.

"We want the young men in our program to grow to be role models, not just as an athlete, but as students," said JU head coach Cliff Warren. "It is important for these young men to be involved in the local community and especially with the youth. I want our players to be upstanding examples to the younger kids in our city."

The men's basketball team has plans in place to do at least one community service project per month.
