Dave Farraday Promoted To Associate Athletic Director For Finance

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU has promoted Dave Farraday to Associate Athletic Director for Finance, athletic director Hugh Durham announced today. Farraday was promoted to Assistant A.D. for Finance in June of 2001 after working for four years as the Dolphins' Facilities and Operations Director.

"Dave is the ultimate team player," said Durham, who is entering his third year as JU's athletic director. "He constantly makes people around him better and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each faction of the athletic department is successful."

Farraday came to JU in 1997 after serving as the director of the James H. Barnhart Student Activity Center at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte from 1994-97. Prior to that, the Philadelphia, Pa., native spent three years (1992-94) as the manager of the Jacksonville Sports Complex and six years (1986-92) as the manager of the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum. He also served as the ticket manager for the Sports Complex (1983-86) and was the ticket manager for the Jacksonville Tea Men of the North American Soccer League from 1980-82.

Farraday graduated with a B.A. in sociology from Dickinson (Pa.) College in 1978, where he played two years of varsity soccer. Following graduation, he spent three seasons as ticket manager for the Washington Diplomats of the NASL in Washington, D.C.
