JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Kerwin Bell era begins on Saturday as the JU football team opens the season at Bethune-Cookman.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. in Daytona Beach at Municipal Stadium. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $20 for reserved seats. The radio broadcast will be aired live on 1010XL, with Barry Milligan handling the play-by-play.

The Dolphins are looking to open the season with a win for the first time in a while, having lost four straight season openers dating back to the 2002 campaign.

"We're excited to get on the field and face somebody else," Bell said. "I'm excited to get these guys in competition and see what how we handle game situations. We've got these guys ready to play and I know that they are ready to go out there and give it their best on Saturday."

The game is the first time the Dolphins and Wildcats have hooked up on the gridiron. JU is 3- 4 all time against teams from the state of Florida - a record that includes matchups against Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Edward Waters and Webber International.
