Dolphin Basketball Finds New Home On Gospel 1400, The Light

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University has signed a contract with Salem Communications to broadcast all 27 JU basketball games this season, as well as 15 weeks of the The Hugh Durham Show on Gospel 1400, The Light (WZAZ). Salem Communications will also cross-promote JU programming heavily on ESPN 1460, WZNZ.
"We feel good about the commitment Salem Communications has made to help promote Jacksonville University," said Jamie Zeitz, JU's Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations. "They are eager to establish a long-term relationship with JU athletics, and we feel this situation will provide stability for our broadcasting needs."
The Voice of the Dolphins, Cole Pepper, who is in his eighth season with the Jacksonville Jaguars Radio Network, returns for his third year calling play-by-play of JU basketball, while former Dolphin Nate Stewart will provide color analysis for the third consecutive season. All JU games can also be heard live on the Dolphins' official athletic web site - judolphins.com. The Hugh Durham Show will air live from The Mudville Grille in St. Nicholas on Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m., starting Dec. 2.

JU opens the 2003-04 season on Friday, Nov. 21 against Puerto Rico-Mayaguez at 7 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium. The Dolphin Pregame Show begins at 6:45 p.m.
