Box Score

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Jonathan Modica scored 23 points and Arkansas used a 13-0 run at the start of the second half for an 85-65 victory over Jacksonville on Saturday.

Kendrick Davis, who added 19 points, had eight points during the run and the Razorbacks pushed the lead to 20 before Jacksonville (1-2) made a bid to stay in the game by making four 3-pointers.

Arkansas, 3-0 for the first time since 1998-99, has never trailed in victories of Nicholls State, Grambling State and Jacksonville. Leading 67-54, Modica put the Dolphins away with eight points in a 13-5 run.

Modica, who has led the Razorbacks in scoring in each game, picked up his second 20-point game of the season. The sophomore only had two 20-point games as a freshman.

It's the second game in row that a slow second-half start kept Jacksonville from challenging for an upset on the road.

Jacksonville trailed North Carolina-Wilmington, an NCAA Tournament team last year, by six at halftime on Monday before falling 71-53. Jacksonville scored just two points in the first 7:41 of that loss and it went three minutes before Haminn Quintance hit a 3-pointer to snap Arkansas' 13-0 run.

Quintance and Jarred Stockton led the Dolphins with 12 points. Aubrey Conerly had 10 points and 10 assists.

The Dolphins, who entered the game averaging 22 turnovers a game, made 24 against Arkansas.
