Basketball Falls To Troy State In Double OT, 107-99, To Open A-Sun Play

TROY, Ala. (AP) - Troy State senior Herbert Evans tipped in the ball with one second remaining to send the Trojans and Jacksonville into overtime Wednesday night, ultimately ending in a 107-99 double-overtime victory for Troy State.

The Trojans (4-2, 2-0 ASC) rallied from a five-point deficit with 14 seconds to go in regulation, tying the game on Evans' tip-in as time expired. Ryan Heck hit a pair of 3-pointers in overtime to help the Trojans stay in it.

Kendrick Johnson led Troy State with a career-high 27 points, and Evan added a career-high 22 points.

Johnson was 8-for-15 from the field, including a 6-for-11 performance from behind the arc. Johnson's six 3-point baskets and 11 3-point attempts are also career-highs, as were his 11 rebounds.

Senior Rob Lewin and junior Jerome Stamper added 13 points and 17 points, respectively.

Senior Greg Davis tallied 15 points and 12 assists, his fourth double-double of the season.

David Lee led the Dolphins (3-3, 0-1 ASC) with a game-high 31 points. Woury Diallo scored 25 points and Jure Lozancic added 24.

Jacksonville (3-3, 0-1 A-Sun) shot 49.3 percent from the field on 34-of-69 shooting and dominated the boards 51-48. But the Trojans capitalized on the Dolphin's sloppiness, scoring 34 points off Jacksonville's 27 turnovers.

The Trojans' 107 points marks the second time this season that Troy State has topped the century mark. The Trojans scored 140 points against Oakwood College on Nov. 24.
