ESPN2's Cold Pizza Features Jacksonville University on Friday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University head coach Hugh Durham and former Dolphin great Artis Gilmore were interviewed by Cold Pizza, ESPN2's daily morning show for Friday's On Campus special. The feature was pre-taped in front of a live audience at historic Swisher Gymnasium on Wednesday because the Dolphins are traveling to Nashville today for games against Lipscomb (Thursday) and Belmont (Saturday). The show airs Friday from 8-10 a.m. with an encore presentation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Cold Pizza has been broadcasting live from the NFL Experience in Jacksonville all week for Super Bowl XXXIX. ESPN2 is currently available in 85.6 million homes.

Cold Pizza host Thea Andrews joined Durham and Gilmore - both Basketball Hall of Fame candidates - Wednesday morning in front of a raucous student crowd, as well as the Dolphin cheerleaders and dance team.

ESPN2 launched Cold Pizza on October 20, 2003 as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. The two-hour, weekday morning show airs live from New York City between 8am - 10am ET. Cold Pizza combines a unique blend of sports, pop culture, lifestyle features and consumer advice - all customized for ESPN viewers. The show encores between 10am - 12pm ET each day with live news updates.

Cold Pizza originates from a new studio near Madison Square Garden, and has an indoor viewing area which allows fans to observe the production. The show features Jay Crawford, Kit Hoover and Andrews. Guests and regular contributors from various walks of life appear regularly to offer their insights on topics ranging from video games to dating to fantasy games - sports and otherwise.

Cold Pizza also features live, on-location reports from the field, as well as interactive elements that encourage viewer participation in unique ways. Cold Pizza is produced as part of the ESPN Original Entertainment (EOE) franchise. Similar to other EOE initiatives, Cold Pizza is designed to broaden ESPN and ESPN2's audience by targeting young and casual fans. ESPN2 launched Oct. 1, 1993 with 10 million homes.
