JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU vs. #13 Texas A&M Game Notes

For being such a young team, the JU men's basketball team will recall upon its experience from its first game against a nationally ranked team as the Dolphins face #13 Texas A&M on Saturday at 8 p.m. (EST) in College Station.

JU (4-5) gets its second helping against a top 25 program this season, after falling to then No. 1 Florida in the first week of action.

"When you played a team ranked in the top 25, you know that you are facing a very tough test," said JU head coach Cliff Warren. "We've already a faced one nationally ranked team and they know what they are in for. They have to come out focused, ready to play and execute for the entire 40 minutes."

As a young team still gelling, the Dolphins freshmen have made an impact of late. In the team's nine games, the freshmen have scored a majority of the points five times.

One of those leading the charge is Lehmon Colbert. Colbert has put up double figures in the last five games, going for 15 or more in the last three. He has moved into third on the team in scoring with an 11.2 points per game average while pulling down 4.1 rebounds.

Adding to his potency on offense is his long-range shooting ability. Colbert is 9-of-18 from 3-point land, the best percentage in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Saturday's contest can be heard live on ESPN 1460 locally, with Barry Milligan calling the play-by-play.
