Football Kicks Off Celebrity Guest Analyst Radio Program

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University football will kick off its celebrity guest analyst program for Dolphin home games this Saturday when Channel 4 (WJXT) weekend anchor Sean Woodland joins Cole Pepper in the booth for the Dolphins' home opener against Charleston Southern on Sept. 18 at 12:30 p.m. at D.B. Milne Field. All JU games, as well as The Steve Gilbert Show air live on "The Winner", AM 970 WNNR. Pepper is in his fourth season as the "Voice of the Dolphins", while former Dolphin Josh Beauchamp provides sideline commentary. The Dolphin Pregame Show begins at noon.
"We're exited about getting other Jacksonville sports personalities involved with JU Dolphins football," said head coach Steve Gilbert, who joins JU Assistant Athletic Director Jamie Zeitz every Thursday at the Fast Boys Wings Restaurant on University Blvd. at 7 p.m. for his weekly talk show. "The more exposure we can provide the University, the better."
Other celebrity analysts this season include Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard (Austin Peay), Brian Sexton (Drake) and former Oakland Raider Pete Banaszak (Webber International) from the Jacksonville Jaguars Radio Network as well as First Coast News sports anchors Dan Hicken and Jeff Prosser (TBA), who also host Sports Final Wake-Up Call weekdays morning on "The Winner", AM 970.
