Andy Allen Leads Men's Golf To Seventh-Place Finish At Mission Inn Collegiate Classic

HOWIE IN THE HILLS, Fla. - Jacksonville University seniors Andy Allen (Jacksonville/Wolfson) and Luis Rivera (Jacksonville/Terry Parker) led the men's golf team to a seventh place finish out of 13 teams at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic Tuesday at the par-71 Mission Inn Golf Course in their final tournament of the fall season. The Dolphins finished 48 over-par for a two-round 616 (306-310), 21 shots behind first-place Old Dominion.
Allen, who finished tied for seventh last weekend at the Stetson Intercollegiate, fired a two-round 151 (74-77) to finish nine-over-par in a tie for 12th place, while Rivera had back-to-back rounds of 76 to finish in a tie for 16th. Senior Derek Ausherman (Middletown, Md.) finished tied for 30th (78-78=156), while junior Will Morgan (Berkshire, England) and sophomore Scott Murray (Jacksonville/Sandalwood) finished tied for 47th and 53rd, respectively.
The Dolphins return to action at the Stetson Spring Intercollegiate in Deland, Fla. on Feb. 3-4.
