Men's Golf Finishes 18th at UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate

ORLANDO, Fla. - Freshman Duncan Stewart (Moray Shire, Scotland) shot a 10-over-par 226 (79-76-71) to tie for 30th overall, while freshman Russel Knox (Inverness, Scotland) fired a 11-over 227 (76-76-75) to tie for 34th as JU finished 18th yesterday at the UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate at the Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando. The Dolphins fired a 937 (316-317-304) on the par-72, 6,978-yard course.

South Alabama (863) won in a playoff to finish first, followed by UCF (863) and Coastal Carolina (881) to round out the top three. Gareth Maybin of South Alabama shot an 8-under-par 208 (70-68-70) to earn individual medallist honors.

JU returns to action at the Winthrop/Waterford Invitational in Rock Hill, South Carolina March 8-9.
