Two Dolphins finish in the top 20 at the Coca-Cola Duke Classic

DURHAM, N.C. - Seniors Duncan Stewart and Russell Knox claimed top 20 finishes as the JU men's golf team wrapped up competition with a 14th place finish at the Coca-Cola Duke Classic.

Stewart tied for 15th with a one-under par 71 in the final round to finish the three-round event at two-over par 218. Knox posted an even-par 72 in the final round to finish in a tie for 18th at three-over par 219.

The 15th place finish for Stewart ends his four tournament winning streak while the Dolphins didn't win the team title for the first time during the same span as well.

Coastal Carolina won the 15-team title at 13-under par, 851, led by Dustin Johnson, who claimed individual medalist honors at nine-under par 207.

The Dolphins finished in 14th after posting a 20-over par 308 in the final round. Matt Kleinrock carded an 82 in the final round while Christian Martin shot an 83. Jamie Kennedy finished the tournament with an 85.

JU wraps up its fall schedule on Oct. 30 at the Charleston Southern Invitational.
