Jacksonville Defeats FIU 4-1 In Men's Soccer

Miami, FL - Jacksonville (10-1), ranked 16th by Soccer America, scored three second half goals to defeat Florida International (3-7-1) by the score of 4-1 in men's soccer here saturday night.

With the score tied 1-1, Jacksonville's Miorad Djorjevic scored off a corner kick from Hope Chiota at 51:52 to give the Dolphins the lead for good. Just 1:37 later, sophomore Bole Acimovic found freshman Michael Blackburn for a goal that hit the right goal post and bounced in. Acimovic, who scored the first goal of the game at 24:10, sealed the victory for JU when he connected for the Dolphins final goal at 87:31 on an assist from junior Mike Popovic. The two goal and an assist performance by Acimovic gives him six goals and an assist in the last two games for the Dolphins.

Matias Asorey scored unassisted for the Golden Panthers, who outshot Jacksonville 20-5.
