Senior forward Mladen Dikic (Lovran, Croatia) scored the game-winning goal for the second straight day to lead the Jacksonville University men's soccer team past the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils, 2-1, in the JU/Nike Legends-Dennis Viollet Memorial Classic Sunday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex.

Dikic's goal came with just 11 minutes to play in the match off of a penalty kick to give the Dolphins their second win of the season. JU is now 2-3 on the season and CCSU drops to 0-6-1.

JU tied the match at the 76:14 mark when freshman defender Brett Surrency (Gainesville, Fla.) headed in a cross from junior midfielder Hope Chiota (Harare, Zimbabwe).

The Blue Devils opened the scoring in the first half at the 25:40 mark when Krystoff Korczak headed in a cross from Robert Storey.

In the opening match, Florida Atlantic shut out DePaul, 1-0, to win the JU/Nike Legends-Dennis Viollet Memorial Classic.d

The Dolphins return to action Thursday, Sept. 21 when they travel to Melbourne, Fla. to take on Florida Tech at 7 p.m.
