Senior goalkeeper Petar Popovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) had 12 saves as the Jacksonville University men's soccer team tied Trans America Athletic Conference opponent Campbell, 2-2, Friday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex.

The Dolphins improved their record to 5-3-3 overall and 2-0-3 in TAAC play. The tie puts the Camels at 4-10-1 on the year, 2-2-1 in league play.

JU opened the scoring in the 25th minute as Mladen Dikic (Lovran, Croatia) knocked in a double-touch pass from midfielder's Michael Blackburn (Gainesville, Fla.) and Scot Shewey (Gainesville, Fla.).

Blackburn added the Dolphins' second goal at the 56:56 mark off of a cross from junior midfielder Hope Chiota (Harare, Zimbabwe).

The Camels answered back with a goal by Antonio Da Saliva at the 71:14 mark. Otis Burris tied the game with nine minutes left to send the game to overtime.

The two teams played two sudden-death 15-minute overtime periods, but neither could come up with the winning goal.

The Dolphins return to action Tuesday, Oct. 24 when they travel to DeLand, Fla., to take on TAAC foe Stetson at 4 p.m.
