Senior goalkeeper Petar Popovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) had five saves but it was not enough as the Jacksonville University men's soccer team lost to Alabama A&M, 3-0, Thursday afternoon at the Ashley Sports Complex.

The Dolphins fall to 5-6-1 overall and 2-1-3 in TAAC play. The Bulldogs improve to 7-6-1 on the year.

Alabama A&M opened the scoring in the 47th minute as the JU defense could not clear the ball, allowing Allan Kakooza to score inside the box. The Bulldogs added their second goal at the 71:26 mark when Musa Manneh knocked in a Kakooza cross. Kasule Mujib scored with two seconds left in the match to add AAMU's third and final goal.

JU had 12 shots in the match, but just could not get the ball in the net.

The Dolphins return to action Sunday, Oct. 29 as they celebrate Senior Day against Georgia Southern in their final regular season match at 2 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex.
