ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The JU men's soccer team fell to the University of North Florida, 3-0, in the second annual Dennis Viollet Memorial Cup on Friday evening in Orange Park at the Eagle Harbor Soccer Complex to open the regular season. UNF is 2-0 in this series, winning last year's match, 1-0, which was held at the Ashley Sports Complex. Prior to the match, the Eagle Harbor Soccer Complex was renamed the Dennis Viollet Soccer Complex, in honor of the former JU and UNF men's soccer coach.

Terry Peak put UNF on the board in the 30th minute when he scored unassisted to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead at the half. UNF added a pair of goals in the second half as Victor Duncan made it 2-0 in the 60th minute off a pass from Derek Stephenson, then Facundo Videla sealed the win with a score in the 66th minute.

Greg Williams (Hopewell, N.Y.) made seven saves in goal for JU, while Cole Chancelor collected three for the Ospreys.

The Dolphins return to action on Sunday when they travel to Tampa, Fla. to take on USF at 7 p.m.
