Winthrop went 2-0 to claim the tournament championship, while Vali Arnason and Donald MacGregor each scored a goal to lead the Eagles.

Arnason opened the scoring for Winthrop (3-0) in the 30th minute when he took a pass from Michael Chumah and scored from 10 yards out to make it 1-0. Krizanovic made it a tie game heading into the second half when he took a pass in the 42nd minute from Brian Blackburn (Jacksonville/Orange Park) on a breakaway and put the ball past the keeper as he was outside the box. The Eagles put the game away in the 63rd minute as Andy Ross took a free kick from about 30 yards out before MacGregor redirected the ball into the goal on a header.

In the first match of the day, Ian Zarac scored both goals, including the game-winner in double-overtime to lead Stetson to a 2-1 victory over Wofford.

The Dolphins return to action when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on host South Carolina in the Gamecock Classic on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
