Men's Soccer vs. Florida International Postponed Until Oct. 26th

Sept. 26, 2004

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville men's soccer home match vs. Florida International, originally scheduled for Monday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m., has been postponed till 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, due to the threat of Hurricane Jeanne. The postponement is the second event to be affected between the two schools this season after Hurricane Frances caused the JU/FIU football game to be cancelled on Sept. 2. This also marks the second match the Dolphin men have had to postpone due to the threat of hurricanes (Sept. 5 vs. South Carolina).

JU (4-3) will next open Atlantic Sun Conference play on Friday, Oct.1, at 1 p.m. against Florida Atlantic in their first match at the Ashley Sports Complex in a month. The Dolphins will then face UCF at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3. The game is the second half of a scheduled doubleheader, with the JU women's soccer team taking on Georgia State at 1 p.m.
