Men's Soccer Loses, 2-1, Against Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Redshirt freshman Kevin Hole (Jacksonville/Wolfson) tried to spark a Jacksonville rally with his first career goal, but the Dolphins could garner no more offense as they fell, 2-1, to Campbell in men's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Eakes Athletic Complex. JU drops to 5-5 on the year, 1-2 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

Hole's score came in the 70th minute, with the forward getting assists from sophomore Tommy Krizanovic (Jacksonville/Englewood) and junior Brian Blackburn (Orange Park, Fla.).

The Dolphins fell behind 1-0 early, when at the 19-minute mark Camel forward Alex Bruemmer scored off of a Willy Guadarrama cross to put Campbell on top. CU struck again in the 65th minute, with Bruemmer again getting an assist from Guadarrama for the 2-0 Camel advantage.

The teams fired 10 shots each, with JU holding the advantage in corner kicks, 10-5.

The Dolphins return home to the Ashley Sports Complex Thursday, Oct. 14, to take on Lipscomb in a 4 p.m. match.
