GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Jacksonville University men's soccer team begins the 2006 season on the road as they compete in the UNC-Greensboro Invitational starting on Friday.

The Dolphins open the tournament against the host and 21st ranked Spartans on Friday at 7 p.m. before wrapping up with Elon on Sunday at 3 p.m.

"This is going to be a tough tournament for us to start the year," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "UNC-Greensboro is always a great team, while Elon is tough because they are young and talented like us. Games against quality teams like these will help us get ready for conference play."

The Dolphins enter Friday's game after winning two of three exhibition games this season. Senior Tommy Krizanovic, who scored a team-high 17 goals in 2005, racked up seven of the Dolphins' eight goals in exhibition play.

Fans can follow all the games online with live scoring or web cast through the Spartans website at
