Sept. 5, 2006

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior forward Tommy Krizanovic was named Atlantic Sun Conference Offensive "Player of the Week" and SoccerFla.com "Player of the Week" after tallying two goals and two assists to help the Jacksonville University men's soccer team down Central Arkansas, 4-3, in overtime on Sept. 3 at the JU/Nike Invitational.

"Tommy has been stellar for us this year," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "He has been in the right place to score goals in our first couple of games. Tommy is a fun player to watch and hopefully this is a glimpse of bigger things to come."

Krizanovic scored the game-winning goal in overtime to secure the Dolphins first win of 2006. He also had the game-tying assist to send the match into overtime and opened the game by scoring his third penalty kick of the season at the 17:20 mark.

On Monday, Krizanovic recorded three goals to help the Dolphins down Georgia State, 4-0, on the final day of the JU/Nike Invitational. He has eight goals in four games this season.

The Dolphins play again on Friday at home against Wright State. Kickoff is set at 8 p.m.
