JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University men's soccer team dropped their third straight Atlantic Sun Conference match in a row on Thursday night to Belmont, 2-0, at the Ashley Sports Complex.

"We had our chances to win tonight," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "We couldn't quite get over the hump to get the goals we needed for the victory. Our plan is to regroup and get ready for another tough match on Saturday."

With a scoreless tie in the second half, Kent Walker added a goal for the Bruins (6-6-2, 2-1-1 A-Sun) at the 54:07 mark on a bloop shot over the goalie on assists from Mete Ozkan and Ian Schinelli.

The Dolphins will look to break their losing streak on Saturday at the Ashley Sports Complex against A-Sun rival Lipscomb. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
