Men's Tennis Downs Navy, 4-3

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Men's tennis team swept the doubles point against Navy and won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles to triumph, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon at the Alexander Brest Tennis Complex. Sophomore Martin Hehensteiger (Schechen, Germany) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while junior Ben Birkmann (Bremen, Germany) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.

JU swept the doubles point with Birkmann and junior Christoph Mueller (Waldsassen, Germany) winning 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, Hehensteiger and freshman Neil Sehgal (Cincinatti, Ohio) winning 8-4 at No. 2 doubles and junior Andres Rojas (Guatemala City, Guatemala) and freshman Brian Garfield (Los Gatos, Calif.) teaming up for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

Garfield was the other Dolphin to win at singles, claiming a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 6.
