• 2009-10 - Volunteer assistant coach

Last year, he worked as a private softball instructor in Waco, Texas after serving as a volunteer coach at Purdue University where he assisted with the infielders, outfielders, hitters and on-campus recruiting.

Prior to Purdue, he was an assistant coach at Illinois University for the 2008 season. The Illini squad finished in the top 25 nationally in home runs per game (8th), slugging percentage (11th), doubles per game (16th) and scoring (23rd). In the Big 10, the team took the top spot offensively in slugging percentage (.503), hits (471), runs (332), RBIs (299), doubles (95) and home runs (76).

Before coaching at Illinois, Hubble was a volunteer assistant for two seasons at Baylor where he was large part in the Bears’ first Women’s College World Series Appearance in 2007. He played a key role in developing one of the nation's top defenses, while also working with two 2007 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America honorees. After leading the Bears to the Big 12 Conference regular season title and finishing fifth at the Women’s College World Series, the Baylor coaching staff was recognized as the 2007 NFCA Division I Midwest Region Coaching “Staff of the Year”.

Hubble was a graduate assistant at Delta State in 2004 and 2005 where he coached the outfield, while assisting the hitters, recruiting and academic progress of the players. He also was involved with camp/clinic instruction and all aspects of field maintenance.

Prior to Delta State, Hubble began his softball coaching career as an assistant for his alma mater, Hastings College.

In his playing career, Hubble played baseball at Central Florida Community College from 1983-85. He also played men’s fastpitch softball in the Nebraska for the CBS Insurance Fastpitch (2004), Davenport Fastpitch (2000-03) and Shickley Fastpitch (1997-03). Hubble helped Davenport and Shickley to state championships, while appearing in the national tournament on three different occasions.

After serving as a Petty Officer in the United States Navy for four years, Hubble earned his bachelor degree in secondary education from Hastings College in 2002 before earning a master's degree in health physical education and recreation from Delta State in 2005.
