Brie Carmack
Brie Carmack will take on a new challenge during her final season at JU as she was named a student assistant coach on the Dolphins staff. She will assist in all areas of the Dolphins preparation, including practice, game day scouting and some team travel.

Despite battling injuries, Carmack was able to put together two successful seasons for the green and gold. Her best season came in 2009 where she finished second on the team in doubles (6) and third in RBI (17) in 44 games.

Carmack recorded the game-winning RBI against Texas A&M-CC to open the year and later recorded a team-best four RBI in a victory over Presbyterian. She also recorded a season-best three hits with two doubles, two RBI and two run scored in the game one win at Belmont. In 2010, she was mainly used in a pinch-hitting role during 32 contests, including putting the game-winning run into scoring position against Campbell at the A-Sun Tournament.

Off the field, she has received A-Sun all-academic honors twice and NFCA all-academic team accolades for her work in the classroom.

Prior to JU, Carmack was three-year starter at Florence Christian High School in Florence, S.C. under John Brown. She helped the Eagles win the state championship in her junior and sophomore seasons. Carmack also earned first-team all-state and all-region honors in her senior season.

The Michigan native is set to graduate this spring with her bachelor’s in exercise science and plans to pursue her master’s degree upon graduation.
