Softball Game Against Pittsburgh Cancelled

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University softball team has canceled its game against Pittsburgh today due to poor field conditions and inclement weather over the weekend. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Dolphins (8-10, 2-0) host Georgia State in an Atlantic Sun doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at the JU Softball Complex at 1 p.m. JU has won its last five games, including a doubleheader sweep against Gardner-Webb last Thursday in its Atlantic Sun opener. The Dolphins also won all three of their games at the Alabama A&M Bulldog Classic in Normal, Ala., over the weekend defeating the host Bulldogs, 13-0, and taking two from Savannah St., 19-0 and 17-1.

The Dolphins begin a 10-game homestand Wednesday against the Panthers. JU hosts Campbell Friday at 1 p.m. and takes on Austin Peay in a non-conference doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. The Dolphins wrap up their homestand Monday, March 10 against Winthrop at 2 p.m.
