JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University outfielder Jill Bandhauer (Crystal River, Fla.) was one of 12 freshmen voted to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team, the league office announced Wednesday. Bandhauer led all A-Sun freshmen with a .326 batting average and 25 RBI as the Dolphins finished 23-33 overall, 6-16 in the A-Sun in their inaugural season. Florida Atlantic's Amanda Morin was tabbed Freshman of the Year after finishing 9-0 with a 1.91 ERA on the mound in conference play.

Bandhauer led the Dolphins in RBI and tied for the team lead with three home runs, in addition to recording a team-high nine multi-RBI games. She finished second on the team in average, hits (57), runs (28), doubles (12) and total bases (80), while also collecting 15 multi-hit games. Bandhauer's best game came against Savannah St. at the Alabama A&M Bulldog Classic on March 2 when she went 4-for-4 with four runs scored, a triple and two RBI.

Bandhauer started all 56 games for the Dolphins splitting her time between both left and right field, while also starting nine games at catcher. Her stellar freshman campaign was also highlighted by a season-high seven-game hitting streak and she had her batting average as high as .375 at one point during the season.
