Five-week hitting and pitching camps set by JU softball team
The Atlantic Sun regular season and tournament champion JU softball team will be holding a series of camps focusing on both hitting and pitching.

The Dolphins, who boasted a 1.48 ERA, good for seventh-best nationally in 2011, will hold five one-hour pitching sessions on Monday nights beginning Sept. 26 through Oct. 24.

The one-hour clinics will focus on advanced pitching drills, troubleshooting and strategy. Each week, instruction will include the breakdown and warm up of the scheduled pitches, including spin work. Location and movement workouts will be implemented. Registration fee is $45 per week or sign up for all five to receive a discount.

The hitting clinics will provide athletes with instruction on the art of hitting including the fundamentals of the swing, hitting for power, situational hitting, the short game and more. Each 90-minute session is $45 or sign up for all five to receive a discount.

All clinics will be conducted by JU head coach Ali Higgs, assistant coaches Laura Taylor and Rachael Click and members of the JU team.

All camp dates will be held at the JU softball field on campus.
