November clinics set
The Jacksonville University softball team will be offering a series of November clinics at the JU Softball Complex.

A softball catching camp for ages 10 and up will be offered on two Wednesdays, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16 with each session beginning at 6 p.m.

Athletes will receive instruction focusing on elements of the catching position. Learn everything from the fundamentals of receiving, blocking, throwing, pop ups and much more as well as understand the strategy of the game. The clinics will be run by JU assistant coach Laura Taylor.

Two all-skills camps will be conducted Sat., Nov. 19, by head coach Ali Higgs, Taylor and graduate assistant Rachael Click with players 13 years and older scheduled for 9 a.m. and players 12 and under at 11:30 a.m.

The clinic will be broken into two parts with the first session focusing on hitting and the second session on primary defensive position.
