@JUsoftball Back in A-Sun Action at Lipscomb

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University softball is resuming Atlantic Sun Conference play this weekend in a three-game series at Lipscomb beginning on Saturday, March 15.

Coming off of a non-conference double-header loss on Wednesday against FIU, the Dolphins are looking to add to their win column in the A-Sun, where they stand 3-3.

Jacksonville (11-12 overall) sits sixth in the conference and 0-6 on the road, while Lipscomb is second in the A-Sun (21-4 overall, 4-2 A-Sun) and 7-1 at home.

Most recently Lipscomb swept non-conference Tennessee Tech on the road, winning 6-1 and 6-3 on Tuesday, March 11.

Codi Kelly, Cecile Gomez and Victoria Brown lead at the plate, hitting .352, .322 and .318, respectively, while Brown (5-6) holds the best ERA at 2.45 over 71.1 innings pitched.

Paige Neely (.386), Brianne Welch (.354) and Kelsey Cartwright (.351) are the top three batters for Lipscomb, while Ashley Anderson stands a perfect 9-0 on the mound with a 1.04 ERA in 67.1 innings pitched.

All-time, Jacksonville is 9-15 against Lipscomb.
