Tufano’s Career Game Lands PFL Honors

ST. LOUIS - Trevor Tufano's name littered the box score in Jacksonville University's 20-17 victory over Valparaiso, and for his efforts, the Pioneer Football League named him its Defensive Player of the Week.

On Valpo's final drive, with the team facing first and goal, Tufano intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal the Dolphins' victory. He was also credited with 10 tackles, a sack and two forced fumbles.

His timely highlights also included a forced fumble on 4th-and-1 inside JU territory that led to a Dolphin touchdown and another forced fumble in the fourth quarter at the JU five-yard line that  resulted in a Valpo field goal.

Jacksonville wraps its home schedule this Saturday when it plays host to Stetson at 1 p.m.
