Prior to his time with the golf team, Monagle was a member of the JU baseball team for two seasons

2012 (Sophomore, Baseball): 

Made 10 appearances, including five starts as a sophomore … started at third for the first two games of the Kennesaw State series (3/24-25, G1) ... recorded two hits at Georgia Southern (3/20) ... recorded a hit vs. Fairfield (3/18) ... started at second base vs. Akron (3/13) ... earned a walk vs. Florida A&M (3/3) … earned A-Sun all-academic honors.

2011 (Freshman, Baseball):

Appeared in 22 games, including 11 starts as a freshman … went 3-for-3 with two runs and a double against Samford (2/26, G2) … tallied an RBI against No. 18 College of Charleston (3/1) and USC Upstate (3/12, G2).

Before JU: 

Three-year starter as an infielder for Tommy Edwards at Bishop Kenny High School … as a senior, he was named to the Florida Times-Union All-Area Team after leading the Crusaders to a district title by batting .390 with two home runs, a triple and five doubles … as a junior, he batted .353 with three home runs, a triple and eight doubles … as a sophomore, he helped the squad to a state title by batting .375 with three triples and eight doubles...teammates on that squad with former Dolphin Jimmy Howick … also a two-year letterwinner in golf … named Florida Times-Union All-Area and first team all-district as a sophomore … in summer ball, he was a member of The World of Baseball with JU teammates Tony Mollica, Clayton Levins and Chris Moye.
