JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –Continuing its spring campaign, the Jacksonville University men's golf team competes in the John Hayt Intercollegiate at the par 72, 6,966 yard Sawgrass Country Club. 18-holes will be conducted each day, with first round action underway Friday at 9:30 a.m.
The Dolphins look to return to its form of four top-10 performances, including a tournament title during the fall. They will be competing with No. 27 North Florida, No. 17 Alabama, UAB, No. 16 UCLA, UCF, Coastal Carolina, Duke, No. 32 East Carolina, Furman, No. 39 Louisville, North Texas, No. 24 Oklahoma State, Tennessee and No. 7 Texas.
Last year, Oklahoma State won the event by 10-strokes combined. Jacksonville finished in 13th over a 33-over par. Greg Eason is the reigning title winner, firing an 11-under par, while Brett McKinnon finished 10th with a one-under par.
