VERO BEACH – Jacksonville University's men's golf team finished seventh at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational, hosted by McNeese State at the Quail Valley Golf Course.
Franck Medale tied for second overall with a total of 206 after carding 68 in the final round. Sam Uhland had a third round of 77 for a total of 219, tying for 28th. David Wicks recorded a 76 in the final round for a total of 220, tying for 30th. Raul Pereda tied for 41st after shooting a 79 in the final round, totaling 223. Ryan Jahn totaled 238, finishing 73rd after a final round of 76.
North Texas won the tournament with a total of 848, winning a tiebreaker over Michigan State. N.C. State finished third at 852, North Florida came in fourth with a score of 856, and Memphis rounded out the Top 5 with a score of 857. McNeese State carded 862 to finish sixth, and Jacksonville recorded an 865 to finish seventh.
Medale had 17 birdies, Pereda had 10, Wicks had nine, Uhland had eight, and Jahn had three.
The Quail Valley Invite closed out the fall portion of the men's season, but the Dolphins begin their spring season with the Sea Best Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University at TPC Sawgrass on Feb. 1 & 2.
