GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University's men's golf team takes on a field of 13 teams Saturday and Sunday in the Gator Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.

"This is certainly one of our best events of the spring season in terms of the golf course and the level of competition," said Head Coach Mike Blackburn. "We always look forward to playing here, and competing against teams of this caliber."

The 6,701-yard, Par-70 course will field 14 teams: Jacksonville, College of Charleston, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Missouri, North Florida, South Florida, UAB, UCF, UMKC, Vanderbilt, and Winthrop.

Franck Medale, David Wicks, Raul Pereda, Sam Uhland, and Ryan Jahn will compete for JU.

"We had a good practice round today," continued Blackburn. "Everyone has worked hard since our last event, and I think we're well prepared for tomorrow."

Rounds 1 & 2 will both occur on Saturday, and the final 18 holes will take place on Sunday.

Last season the Dolphins finished 13th out of 14 teams with a three-round total of 909.
