JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sam Uhland had one of his best finishes as a Dolphin over the weekend, leading the Jacksonville University men's golf team to a seventh place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate.
Uhland carded 215 (71+72+72) over three rounds, finishing tied for 22nd individually. The freshman from Jacksonville, Fla., had 28 pars, 11 birdies, and two eagles. Franck Medale had 216 (68+78+70), tying for 25th. Raul Pereda tied for 30th with 217 (71+72+74), David Wicks tied for 41st with 219 (76+71+72), and Ryan Jahn tied for 47th with 220 (74+73+73).
Auburn (3rd nationally) won the tournament by carding 850 (290+277+283). Florida State (4th nationally) finished second with 852 (285+281+286), James Madison finished third at 854 (282+290+282), and East Tennessee State (285+287+284) and Penn State (288+284+284) tied for fourth with 856. Jacksonville finished tied for seventh with 860 (284+288+288).
