TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Two members of the Jacksonville University men's golf team still have a lot left to play for this season. Franck Medale and David Wicks will represent JU in the 2016 NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional, which will be held Monday, May 16-Wednesday, May 18 at the Ol' Colony Golf Club.

"The guys are really excited about this opportunity," said Head Coach Mike Blackburn. "I'm so proud of the huge steps forward this program took this year, and while I'm disappointed we can't have the whole team here, I can't think of two better people to represent our university and our conference. Hopefully we'll be able to continue to take steps forward in the coming weeks, months, and years."

The 7,512-yard, par-72 course will field 13 seeded teams, including (1) Georgia, (2) Auburn, (3) South Carolina, (4) Alabama, (5) UNLV, (6) Kentucky, (7) Kansas, (8) College of Charleston, (9) Lipscomb, (10) Charleston Southern, (11) Colorado, (12) Harvard, and (13) Southern Illinois. These teams will be joined by 10 individuals, including (1) David Kocher (Maryland), (2) Braden Thornberry (Ole Miss), (3) Wes Gosselin (Chattanooga), (4) Andrew Novak (Chattanooga), (5) Franck Medale (Jacksonville), (6) Tom Harris (Maryland), (7) Manuel Elvira (UCF), (8) Seth Gandy (Charlotte), (9) Peter Staalbo (South Alabama), and (10) David Wicks (Jacksonville).

The top five teams and the top individual not associated with one of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be played on May 27-June 1 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.
