VERO BEACH, Fla. - Elliott Fullalove and David Wicks, the two British members of the Jacksonville University men's golf team, have the Dolphins within one stroke of first place after two rounds of the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational.
Fullalove is fifth overall with a two-round total of 138 (69+69). The junior from Kingswood, England, had an eagle, six birdies, and 27 holes of par or better in two rounds Monday. Wicks (69+72) and Raul Pereda (73+68) are tied for 10th with 141, Ryan Jahn is tied for 12th with 142 (69+73), and Sam Uhland carded 155 (76+79) and is 74th.
Michigan State leads the pack with a total of 561, just one stroke ahead of JU. Arkansas is third at 563, North Florida is fourth at 564, and Liberty is fifth at 568.
The Dolphins will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The weather forecast calls for partly sunny skies with temperatures around 66 degrees at tee time warming up to 82 degrees by the afternoon.
