Dolphin Trio Ties for Eighth, Team Third in ASUN Finale

BRASELTON, Ga., - After the final round of the ASUN Conference Championship, Jacksonville University's men's golf team finished third, moving up one spot from Sunday's fourth place finish. The Dolphins will now have to wait a few days to see if any members of the team will travel to the NCAA Men's Golf Regionals.

ASUN Co-Player of the Year and All-ASUN First Team member David Wicks tied with All-ASUN Second Team member Raul Pereda and Sam Uhland for eighth, with each carding a three-round total of 217. Wicks had 45 holes of par or better, including nine birdies. Pereda had 44 holes of par or better, outpacing Wicks in birdies with 11. Uhland tied Wicks with 45 holes of par or better and nine birdies. All-ASUN Second Team member and All-Academic Team member Ryan Jahn took home 11th by finishing one stroke behind the Dolphin trio at 218, and Elliott Fullalove totaled 227 after three rounds to finish 22nd.

Kennesaw State took home the team championship with 863, just one stroke ahead of Lipscomb's 864. JU had 869 to finish third, edging out North Florida's 871. FGCU had 893 in fifth, USC Upstate scored 907 in sixth, and Stetson came in seventh with 927.
