Monday’s ASUN Championship Action Postponed Due To Rain

BRASELTON, Ga. – Due to heavy rain which swept through the are overnight and into Monday morning, the second round of the 2018 ASUN men's and women's golf championships has been postponed. After pushing play at the Legends Course at Chateau Elan back to at least Noon, the decision was made by championship officials to call off play all together.

The Jacksonville men's team currently sits in fourth place out of the field of seven (+14, 302), while the women are third in their competition (+22, 314).

ASUN Freshman of the Year Michael Sakane shot one-under, 71 in Sunday's first round, to lead the way for JU and finish fifth individually after a day of play. ASUN First-Team selection Amanda Detmer is tied for the top spot on the women's side, after shooting three-over 75 on the first flight.  

The next update on when action will resume will be provided at 5:00 p.m. EST, following an officials meeting.
