Trey Taylor enters his first season as the graduate assistant for the Jacksonville University men's golf team for the 2017-18 season. The former collegiate golfer at USC Upstate will assist Head Coach Mike Blackburn with coaching the 2017 NCAA Championship qualifiers.
A native of Gaffney, S.C, Taylor played over 60 tournament rounds while on the Spartans' men's golf squad from 2013-2017. He was a member of the ASUN All-Academic team his sophomore year.
In addidtion to his collegiate career, Taylor served as a volunteer assistant coach for Gaffney High School during the 2016-17 season. Under his assistance, the team won the 5A Upper-State Championship, and was the 5A State Championship runner-up in South Carolina.
Taylor earned a bachelors degree from USC Upstate in May 2017, and is currently enrolled in the sport management master's program at JU.
