Live Stats: Mercer
"This is a game that is crucial for conference standings and an opportunity to play in the playoffs. We are both sitting at the same conference record currently, and I think we have experienced similar defeats this year with one-goal losses, and tight games against high-caliber teams. Mercer is very dangerous on the defensive end, extremely physical, and probably the toughest defense we have seen in a couple of weeks. Our group is confident, believing in themselves, and this is the second quarter for our team the rest of the season. Our focus is to find a way to win it, and I told them earlier in the week that we would have to provide something special in practice to give us evidence to be able to win the game Saturday. To this point, I think we have practiced this week harder than we ever have. We have challenged them to do things outside of practice to give their parents, family, and friends a reason why we were able to win on Saturday because of their effort this week in practice."– Head Coach John Galloway
