SPARKS, Md. – Jacksonville University men's lacrosse Head Coach John Galloway is one of 49 players selected to the US Lacrosse training squad to prepare for the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse Men's World Championship in Israel next July, as announced by US Lacrosse.
Previously an alternate for the U.S. Men's National Team that fell to Canada, 8-5, in the title game of the 2014 FIL World Championship in Denver, Colo., Galloway reunites with former Syracuse teammates Matt Abbott, JoJo Marasco, and Joel White. He also joins fellow Rochester Rattlers Ned Crotty, Michael Manley, White, and Jordan Wolf on the training squad.
The team will have one more training session over Labor Day weekend, and will take part in the Team USA Fall Classic at US Lacrosse Oct. 6-9 and the Team USA Spring Premiere in early January.
The FIL Men's World Championship will be help in Netanya, Israel July 12-21, 2018.
