Dolphins Fall to No. 13 Ranked Seahawks

Jacksonville paid visit to nationally ranked UNCW Thursday night, falling 4-0 to the Seahawks. Though Jacksonville keeper Patrick Harding recorded eight saves, a 21-3 shot differential told the story of the evening.

The match remained scoreless throughout the first period despite UNCW's 9-0 advantage in shots. Then, two minutes into the second half the Dolphins allowed an own goal after a Seahawk cross deflected off of Jacksonville freshman Carson Sapp and wound up sliding past the keeper. Over the course of the next nine minutes the Seahawks would add two more goals.

In the 54th minute of play Drew Rabil netted UNCW's second goal before Cecil Cruz put one through in the 57th to boost the Seahawks lead to three. Jacksonville would offer another shot at the 62nd minute in an attempt to recapture momentum. However, UNCW's fourth goal came in the 76th minute from junior Tom Isola, putting the Dolphins' evening to rest.

Jacksonville's three shots were credited to Jesus Colombo, Reed Davis, and Nazar Deputat. After adding eight saves to his season tally, Harding remains the category leader throughout the ASUN.

Jacksonville will remain in the state of North Carolina to face the Tar Heels in Durham on Monday. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 PM.
