. - The Atlantic Sun Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships takes place this Saturday, November 1 in DeBary, Fla. Hosted by Stetson the women's race is slated to start at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the men's race at 9:30 a.m. ET and the awards ceremony at 10:30 a.m. ET.

"When the conference championship arrives, the expectation is that each individual will have their best total effort of the year," said Head Coach Ron Grigg. "All the work has been done, now it is time to produce."

The course is laid out through the River City Nature Park in DeBary, Florida. The park is about 12 miles south of DeLand, Florida, and consists of a 113-acre triangular-shaped property that abuts the St. Johns River for a distance of about 2300 feet on its south side and will provide public access to the natural environment of the St. Johns River.

Sophomore Katy Solis is the top returning runner on the women's side from last year for the Dolphins. She placed 15th to guide Jacksonville to a 4th place finish at the A-Sun Championship held in Nashville with a time of 18:48.95

For the men, junior Andrew Merrill is the top returner as junior Nick Dale is out this weekend to injury. Merrill posted a time of 28:21.13 at the A-Sun Championship last fall and owns a season best 8K time of 28:15.52 this season.
